BAYANI CHALLENGE 2013
PRESSCON. Jerome Awit, head of Gawad Kalinga Cebu bares over 1,000 volunteers
have signified their intention to join the five-day ‘Bayani Challenge’ event in
San Remigio, northern Cebu which will kick off on Saturday,March 23. Cebu is just one of
the 34 provinces throughout the country that is participating in the biggest
volunteerism event of the year which will witness a new kind of people power
where volunteers engage in nation-building activities such as building homes,
painting schools, tree planting, education session to children and even health
mission, among others. With Awit is San Remigio Mayor Jay Olivar (far left) and
