address child labor’
By Fayette C. Rien
CEBU CITY, March 26 (PIA) -- Labor Assistant Secretary Gloria
Tango said much needs to be done to eradicate child labor in the region, even
as Central Visayas dropped a notch lower from 4th to 5th rank among regions in
the country beset by the problem.
“Though it is welcome news that from fourth placer previously, Central Visayas has now been ranked number five among regions with the most number of child laborers, the major problem lies with the volume of child laborers in the country and in the region which is increasing due to poverty,” said Tango.
