SIQUIJOR,
Oct 19 (PIA) --The Lazi Technical Institute (LTI), formerly Technical Education
and Skills Development Authority-Lazi National Agricultural School (TESDA-LNAS)
joined the GawadKalinga 2nd Social Business Summit at its GK-Enchanted Farm
Village University, Angat Bulacan recently with the theme, ”Economic Innovation
for Inclusive Wealth Creation.”
LTI sent one of its
personnel, Lyndon Duhaylungsod to the summit being its community and extension
services focal person.
Duhaylungsod was
expected to contribute insights regarding the current employment situation in
the province and creation of job opportunities for the TVET graduates
specifically in the Agri-fishery, tourism and garments sectors.
The three-day summit
hoped to raise new generation of inclusive wealth creators focusing on the
development of human and natural resources at the countryside to urban
migration and create sustainable jobs for families that were relocated out of
the cities.
These job opportunities
will eventually serve as steppingstones for the unemployed, underemployed and
the out of school youth to start future endeavors to a greener
pasture.
The summit was
participated by 50 delegates from the public and private Technical Vocational
Institutes (TVIs) all over the country. (mbcn/rac/PIA7-Siquijor/with reports
