(PIA) -- Some 43 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) cooperative officers
composed of Coop managers, treasurers and bookkeepers participated in
a two-day Seminar on Basic Accounting for Non-Accountants at Cebu
Northwinds Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City.
The Department of
Agrarian Reform (DAR) assistant regional director and concurrent Provincial
Agrarian Reform Officer II (PARPO II) of DAR Cebu, Dr. Antonio del
Socorro said, this training is part of the agency’s 2015 target
for the 13 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) to avail of the
Agricultural Production Credit Program (APCP).
The following Agrarian
Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) are the following: Pundoksa Mag-uuma
(PUMAG) of San Isidro, Asturias ; Toyokon Farmers Association (TOFA),
ZaragosaFarmers Association ( ZAFA)), Esperanza Farmers Association (ESFA)
of AloguinsanNagkahiusang Mag-uumaogMamumuo Para saReformangAgraryo
(NAMMPRA) of BarangayMalingin, Bogo; Dumlog Farmers Association (DUFA) of
Toledo City; TabuelanPoblacion Small Farmers Association (TABPOSFAS);
Cabadiangan Communal Irrigators Association Inc. (CCIA) of Liloan town; United
Farmers MPC (UNIFAMCO) of Barangay Media Once, Toledo; Tubod Farmers
Association (TUFA)of Sibonga,; PananghugpongLuhodnong Mag-uuma ( PALUMA) of Barangay
Luhod, Barili;and Agrarian Reform Farmer Beneficiaries Association (ARFBA) of
Pinamungajan town.
The resource person
from VICTO National Business Enterprise Executive Jacinto Tilbe discussed on
basic accounting processes and procedures that will help Agrarian Reform
Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBO) in their accounting system effective,
financial data reliable thus able to make effective plansand decisions for the
business.
The APCP is a joint
DAR –DAR-LBP credit and capacity development program designed to respond to the
credit needs of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) on various economic
projects such as agricultural crop production, agri-enterprise and livelihood
