CEBU CITY, April 27
(PIA) -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Cebu had a two-day
seminar workshop to 32 cooperative officers on Cooperative Reportorial
Requirements at Cebu Northwinds Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City recently.
The officers that
joined the workshop were composed of coop chairpersons, managers,
treasurers, auditors and bookkeepers of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries
Organizations (ARBOs).
The seminar was part
of the Program Beneficiaries Development under the Social Infrastructure-Local
Capability Building (SILCAB) that aims to provide necessary interventions to
capacitate the cooperative officers with Reportorial Requirements workshop that
will help the ARBOs to comply with the requirements needed to get a Certificate
of Good Standing and Certificate of Compliance from the CDA.
The identified ARBOs
in the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARC) and non-ARC areas were the Panaghupong
Sa Nagkahiusang Guntinganung Magbabaol Multipurpose Cooperative
(PANGUMA-MPC) of Barangay Gunting, Barili; Carcar Community Farmers’
Multipurpose Cooperative (CCFMPC) of Barangay
Can-asujan,Carcar; Liburon Multipurpose Cooperative of Barangay
Liburon, Carcar City; Media Once Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative
(MOFAMC) of Barangay Media Once.
In other pats of the
province the following ARBOs joined the workshop--Toledo City Langtad
Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multipurpose Cooperative (LARBMPC) of Barangay
Langtad; Naga City Agrarian Reform Community Beneficiaries
Multipurpose (ARCBMPC) of Barangay Balirong, Naga City; Canhabagat
Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CMPC) of Barangay Canhabagat, Medellin; San
Jose Multipurpose Cooperative of Barangay San Jose, Medellin; Don Virgilio
Gonzales MPC in Medellin; Media Once Farmers’ Cooperative (MOFAMC)
in Toledo City; United Farmers Cooperative of Barangay Bunga, Toledo
City; Hagnaya Organized People for Environment (HOPEMPC) of Barangay
Hagnaya; Carmen and Lower Natimaoan MPC of Barangay Lower Natimoan,
Carmen.
The seminar-workshop
was conducted by a team from the DAR’s Beneficiaries Development and
Coordination Division headed by DAR BDCD SILCAB Point Person JudyMaratas
with Cooperative Development Specialist Myrna Dollosa of CDA-7as the
resource person.
DAR-7 assistant
regional director and concurrent PARPO II Antonio del Socorro said the
partnership program of DAR-CDA is also a collaborative effort in adapting
Capacity Development as a strategy to address knowledge, skills and capacity
