CEBU, May 14 (PIA) --- The Department of Trade and Industry
(DTI) – Cebu is inviting all jewellery designers, professionals in the
industry, students, craft persons, and jewels artists - both amateur and
professionals - for a chance to represent the Philippines and join the
Creative ASEAN Jewellery Design Competition 2015.
The Creative ASEAN Jewellery Design Competition this year,
organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL),
focuses on gems or materials used in modern fashion industry— for the
Philippine participation.
The contest aims to raise awareness on the importance of
intellectual property rights in designs, specifically in the jewellery
industry.
All jewellery pieces must be submitted, actually made, executed
and produced after February 15, 2015.
IPOPHIL noted that the contest will be composed of two
phases: the Philippine National Selection Phase (semi-finals) and the ASEAN
Regional Selection Phase (finals).
For the Philippine National Phase, the top five Philippine
entries shall be chosen bya panel of judges.
From the five Philippine National Phase Semi-Finalists, the
ASEAN Expert Regional Jury will select one entry to represent the
Philippines and join the winners’ podium at the 56thBKK Gems and Jewellery
Fair in Bangkok, Thailand on September 2015.
Interested participants must fill out a submission form together
with other requirements on or before May 20, 2015.
