CEBU CITY, June 19 (PIA) – The Call Center Academy (CCA) Cebu
Campus organized on June 19 a Job Fair to provide training and endorse
applicants to their 15 partner companies.
CCA Center Manager Kristelle Ong said they expected 300 qualified
applicants to participate in the two-day Job Fair, which was held in line with
Cebu Business Month in June.
The job fair was held in partnership with Cebu Educational
Development Foundation for Information Technology (CEDF-IT) the Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) and the Cebu Council.
“There are on-the-spot hiring of applicants for the H&M
Company but majority of this call centers will know the result by next week,” said
Ong.
She said there is no age limit in accepting applicants, starting
from 18 years old, with employability skills and willing to work during
graveyard shift.
For applicants who do not qualify to be hired in their partner
companies, CCA is offering a training and scholarship program for free in
partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority
(TESDA).
Datu Ansari Baraguir Jr., 29, from Basak, San Nicolas, Cebu City
was one of the applicants who joined the job fair. “I’ve already passed
the initial interview from Qualfon company and I’ll be back tonight at 6:00 pm
for my final interview, hopefully I would be qualified on the job I’m applying
to,” he said.
CCA provides employment opportunities through its Job Fairs that
initially started as a training institution offering public classes on call
