CEBU CITY, June 19 (PIA) – The Call Center Academy (CCA) Cebu Campus organized on June 19 a Job Fair to provide training and endorse applicants to their 15 partner companies.

CCA Center Manager Kristelle Ong said they expected 300 qualified applicants to participate in the two-day Job Fair, which was held in line with Cebu Business Month in June.

The job fair was held in partnership with Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (CEDF-IT) the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and the Cebu Council.

“There are on-the-spot hiring of applicants for the H&M Company but majority of this call centers will know the result by next week,” said Ong.

She said there is no age limit in accepting applicants, starting from 18 years old, with employability skills and willing to work during graveyard shift.

For applicants who do not qualify to be hired in their partner companies, CCA is offering a training and scholarship program for free in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Datu Ansari Baraguir Jr., 29, from Basak, San Nicolas, Cebu City was one of the applicants who joined the job fair.  “I’ve already passed the initial interview from Qualfon company and I’ll be back tonight at 6:00 pm for my final interview, hopefully I would be qualified on the job I’m applying to,” he said.

CCA provides employment opportunities through its Job Fairs that initially started as a training institution offering public classes on call center training programs. (rmn/Lea Jane Villanueva/PIT Intern)
