CITY, July 6 (PIA) – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) – Dumaguete City
branch recently awarded its stakeholders and some members of the local media
for promoting BSP’s thrusts and advocacies to the public.
The awarding ceremony was held on July 3 at the
2nd Stakeholders Appreciation and Awarding Ceremony.
According to BSP deputy director Nicasio Parco,
the event honors the stakeholders and media partners for their cooperation in
implementing BSP programs.
BSP gave awards to banks that excelled in four
different categories namely Least Discrepancy Category, Zero Fit-Note Deposit
Category, Clean Note Deposit Category and Early Bird Award for Bank
Representatives.
Banco De Oro Unibank, Inc. (BDO) got the award
for the Least Discrepancy Category. The recognition is given to the
bank that achieved the least number of discrepancies in cash deposits.
Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) received
the award for the Zero Fit-Note Deposit Category for strictly complying
with the Zero Fit-note deposit policy of BSP.
Land Bank of the Philippines received the
citation for the Clean Note Deposit Category. The award is given to the bank
that consistently segregated fit and unfit notes in bank’s cash deposits.
Philippine National Bank (PNB) was given the
Early Bird Award for Bank Representative in recognition of its perfect
attendance and punctuality during the scheduled verification of their deposits.
Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company
(Metrobank) received the award for Outstanding Respondent for Customer
Satisfaction Survey. This is for providing a prompt reply to the Customer
Satisfaction Survey conducted by the BSP-Economic and Financial Learning
Center.
Meanwhile, BSP also handed over special
citations for members of local press for providing support to the promotion of
various advocacy programs of BSP such as the Clean Note Policy, demonetization
of old currencies, New Generation Currency security features and the role of
BSP in the economy.
BSP named FilProducts Cable TV as the
Outstanding Partner for Advocacy Programs (TV Category) while DYEM 96.7FM “Bai
Radio” was the recipient of the Outstanding Partner for Advocacy Programs (TV
Category).
Aside from this, BSP also gave recognitions to
television anchorman Neil Rio of FilProducts Channel 6, Jufill Mira, radio
anchor of DWYC AM and to the personnel of Philippine Information Agency-Negros
Oriental Information Center for being Outstanding Media Partners in TV, radio
and newspaper categories, respectively.
“I would like thank BSP for recognizing our
efforts in disseminating information regarding the advocacies of BSP,” Rio said
in his acceptance message.
DWYC’s Jufill Mira also expressed his gratitude
to BSP for the said acknowledgement and assured that the radio outfit he
represents would continue to help in the information drive on BSP programs that
