NegOr police condemns bombing in Davao

DUMAGUETE CITY, Sept. 8 (PIA) -- Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORRPO) strongly condemns the bombing attack in Davao City recently causing fatalities, serious injuries, and damage to properties.

“We are sending our condemnation in the form of disseminating information and intensified campaign against all forms of criminality that undermines the self-determination of our people and tranquility of the nation,” Acting Provincial Director PSSupt. Nestor Tiempo said.
To heighten the campaign against terrorism, each police station in the province is required to conduct dialogue among the different members of the community.
The residents are also encouraged to support the endeavor in making the community aware of the threats posted by the lawless elements of the society.
With this, the police office here has intensified the drive by distributing “Anti-Terrorism Flyers” and conduct dialogues or pulong-pulong focusing on bomb threats in the barangays.
The dialogues also include other forms of criminal acts believed to be the appropriate move to enhance the vigilance and watchfulness of the people.
Tiempo urged the public to report immediately the presence of any suspicious looking persons and bags or backpacks that are left unattended in public places or public conveyance and in any event where people wear excessive clothing.
