DUMAGUETE CITY, May 12 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with the local government of Bayawan City will spearhead the Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan at the Bayawan City Gym and Quadrangle on May 15-17, 2014.
As major distributor and supplier of school supplies, Lee Super Plaza will lead the caravan.
Low priced school supplies such as notebooks, pad papers and other school items including school bags, shoes will be offered for sale during the caravan. This is in time for the school opening come June 2014.
Big discounts will be given to customers and retailers who wish to purchase in bulk on school supplies and other household items.
Big discounts and bundling of grocery items will also be offered by Island Merchants Corporation/Nestle Phils., Nepan Sales/Unilever Phils., National Food Authority (NFA) PD888/Colgate Palmolive, Macro Distributors/Procter & Gamble, El Real, Purefoods and Gardenia Bakeries Phils., Inc.
Appliances, computers, furnitures will also be offered by Emcor Inc. and United Motoliance Network, Bayawan City branch with big discounts. RACAL Motorycle will also join in the caravan.
Free haircut for students and free massage for parents will also be provided during the caravan.
DTI will hold a raffle every hour with prizes at stake. Parlor games, larong pinoy will also be conducted by the Pan Hellenic Society and Skills Enhancement Games sponsored by ABC president Arnie Teves.
"Gimmick Time" will be conducted by the participating distributors as a way of promoting their products and for consumers to win prizes.
