Diocese of Dumaguete uses Smart Infoboard for disaster preparedeness




·      DUMAGUETE CITY, Dec. 30 (PIA) --The Diocese of Dumaguete is utilizing the Infoboard service of SMART Communications, Inc. to broadcast updates for disaster mitigation and prevention and even diocesan advisories and other special campaigns or announcements.  
Launched recently in Dumaguete, the Infoboard is a free service provided by SmartComm to the Diocese, as a tool for timely information dissemination especially in times of disaster or emergency.

In his message, Bishop Julito Cortes said the Infoboard allows the Diocese’s much needed capability to contacts the key leaders, priest, collaborators, civil society, government, NGOs especially in times of disasters and calamities but also during other big events for the building up of the life of the church and the community.
Bishop Cortes expressed his gratitude to SmartComm management for providing this communication solution to text broadcast information, updates, instructions and reminders to as many contacts as possible.
 This web-based short messaging service, Infoboard helps disseminate information to a target group as fast, wider and relevant information in real time.
The SmartComm provides P10,000 load allocation for free messages per month, however only Smart or Talk & Text users can receive the messages.
This Smart powered Infoboard is being achieved after a series of disaster preparedness training with clergy, religious and lay members of the  Diocese of Dumaguete which facilitated by Smart. (mbcn/JCT/PIA7-Negros Oriental)
