DUMAGUETE CITY, Feb. 23 (PIA) --The
provincial government of Negros Oriental with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas
(SBP) will host a two-day goodwill invitational basketball games with De Lasalle
University and Ateneo De Manila to be held at the Lamberto Macias Sports
Complex, Dumaguete City.
School Sports
Association of Negros Oriental (SSANO) coordinator Dino Dipositario said,
the De Lasalle University-Taft Green Archers and Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles
will show their actions against Negros Oriental, Cebu and Bacolod teams.
The De La Salle
University Green Archers with their star player Jeron Teng will see action on
March 6 and 7 pitted against Cebu's best, the University of San Carlos and the
top teams of Negros Oriental.
Dipositario said the
games will start at 5:00 p.m. and open to the public on a first come, first
serve basis only with general admissions pegged at P50.
On the other hand, the
Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles together with their ace player Keifer
Ravena will be playing in Dumaguete City on April 18 & 19 against the top
teams of Bacolod City and Negros Oriental.
One of the highlights
of these sporting events are the mall and campus tours that both DLSU and ADMU
will be doing during their short stint in Dumaguete City, said Dipositario.
SBP and Negros
Oriental are staging these exclusive basketball events in line with the sports
tourism program of the provincial government and the continuing education
thrust for its officiating officials and members of the SBP-Negros Oriental
