DUMAGUETE CITY, Feb. 23 (PIA) –
Foundation University (FU) opens its 2015 Digital Exposition today at a mall in
Dumaguete Ciy.
The expo showcases the
innovative technology presented by the university's various colleges. This is
part of FU’s advocacy to encourage students in all levels to learn useful
technological skills that will empower them in the information-technology
driven world.
The colleges will put
up booths to exhibit the skills they have learned in each of their fields of
expertise. The event also serves an opportunity to boost the interest of
students and raise their level of awareness on the latest advancements in
technology.
Other activities in
the expo include shortfilm screening at Robinsons Cinema on Feb. 24-25 which is
open to high school seniors from different public and private schools in Negros
Oriental. There will also be fun games sponsored by students.
The highlight of the
expo is the turnover of radio handsets to the officers of Dumaguete City
Police. Dr. Mira Sinco, university president with Victor Vicente Sinco,
university vice president for finance and Dr. Eva Melon, vice president for
administration will hand over the equipment to Engr. Bill Peralta, provincial
director of the National Telecommunications Commission-Negros Oriental and Col.
James Goforth, Chief of Police of Dumaguete City Police.
The expo runs until
