NOSDEP Sports Clinic opens

DUMAGUETE CITY, Mar. 24 (PIA) – The Negros Oriental Sports Development Program (NOSDEP) announced the opening of the registration for their summer sports clinic program.


NOSDEP Head Paultom Paras is inviting sports enthusiasts as well as beginners and advanced athletes to register in various sports events offered in the summer sports clinic, such as swimming, football, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, chess, karatedo, and sports safety.

Registration begins on March 24 to April 6, 201 4 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the NOSDEP Office in Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center. 

The sports clinic will cover basic skills and ground rule in playing said sports activities.

The event is done in cooperation with the Negros Oriental Sports and Cultural Management Board and the Negros Oriental Sports Confederation (NORSPORTS) and its member organizations which are the Negros Oriental Blue Dolphins, Negros Oriental Football Association, Negros Club 64 Inc., D0-Kyohan Karate Association, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Negros Oriental, Negros Oriental Volleyball Association, and the Dumaguete Lawn Tennis Club.

The formal launching of the NOSDEP Summer Sports Clinic Program is on April 6, 2014 at the same venue.

Meanwhile, NOSDEP, in partnership with SBP will also hold the Cebu Elite Basketball Camp on April 9 to 16, 2014 at Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center, daily from 8:00am to 1:00 pm.

The basketball camp is open to participants from 7 to 21 yrs. old.

The event comes with a registration fee of P1,850 inclusive of training jersey, training ball, and certificate of completion.

Coach Britt Carlo Reroma will be the training director of the Cebu Elite Basketball Camp.

Reroma is the current junior head coach of the University of San Carlos and has been an assistant coach of Cebuana Lhuiller PBA D-League, a former RP Youth Team Basketball Member, member of the NCAA Junior Basketball 5-time Champion and a two-time NCAA Coach of the Year.
