US launches recovery projects to help Yolanda victims in Tacloban

PCA-7 sets 4-point agenda for Yolanda ravage areas

Central Visayas, May 20 (PIA) --- The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA-7) here implemented projects that would help in the fast recovery of the people and the coconut industry in the typhoon ravage areas specifically in North Cebu.

In a recent PIA-7 initiated Post Yolanda Disaster Rehabilitation Phase Media Briefing, PCA-7 regional manager Dennis Andres said that the four project agenda comprised debris management program, coconut replanting, coconut fertilization, food security.

CEBU CITY, May 16 (PIA) -- Six months after super Typhoon Yolanda battered north Cebu, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA-7) admitted the slow progress of the debris clean-up of fallen coconut trees as it now taps farmers in affected localities to help in the clearing operations.

DILG-7: funds ready for Cebu rehab of damaged infra of Yolanda-hit towns

DSWD-7 funds P70.9M emergency employment for Yolanda victims in Cebu, Bohol

CEBU CITY, March 13 (PIA) --- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-7) in Central Visayas allocated P7.32M funds for the emergency employment and skills training for livelihood support to Yolanda victims in northern Cebu.


DOLE-7 Chief of the Technical Support Services for Employment and Workers Welfare, Nancy Abad bared around 1,651 Yolanda victims have benefitted from their emergency employment program in the typhoon-hit areas.

China gives 16T rice bags Cebu, Bohol Yolanda victims

Central Visayas, March 13 (PIA) --- Peoples Republic of China gives 800 metric tons or 16,000 bags of rice to typhoon Yolanda victims in Cebu and Bohol.

The food aid given to this typhoon devastated places is coursed through the Tier 3 Program of the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) with the National Food Authority (NFA) as its regular member.

AFP-CentCom provides security to Korean forces in Leyte
