CEBU CITY, April 23 (PIA)---Google Incorporated and blogger group invite business managers and marketers in Mandaue City to join a conference on relevant internet tools for entrepreneurs.
Bjornson Bernales, head of Google Business Group (GBG)-Mandaue said this is the first time that such conference dubbed as “GDays Mandaue” will happen in the City.
He said it aims to gather around 200 participants from the business community or entrepreneurial and marketing enthusiasts or even students and young professionals who may want to learn internet marketing updates.
“In this conference, businesses, managers and marketers can learn the relevant tools from Google for use in businesses in operation, management and marketing. They will also gain inspiration from esteemed speakers as well as insights from invited guest speakers from Google and Google-supported communities,” Bernales said.
Among the things that the participants can learn are building presence on the Web; making business social; synching with team members using collaborative tools; and advertising on the Web
The speakers include Wilson Ng, of Ng Kai Development Corporation; Ruben Licera, President of Cebu Bloggers Society; Fleire Castro, founder of GBG-Cebu, Ludwig Federigan, Marketing Manager of BMW Autowelt; Cheer Garciano, Managing Director, SageTree Global & I.T. Solutions; Bernard Arellano, Google Map Expert; JR Padilla, GBG Dagupan Community Manager; Yen de Felipe, GBG Iloilo Community Manager and Issa Perez Founder of Panay.directory.com.
Bernales, who is also the vice president of the Cebu Bloggers Association said the conference is free of charge and there will be food and materials to be given.
He said this is the 2nd time that Gday was held in Cebu, the first was earlier this month in Cebu City.
Venue of the activity is at Lakwatsa Resto Lounge, Hernan Cortes Avenue and it will run from 9 am till 5pm on May 10 Saturday.
