CITY, August 30 (PIA)—The
International Media Center (IMC) for the Asia Pacific Economic Conference
(APEC) meetings in Cebu formally opened yesterday (August 29).
Media covering the APEC started claiming
yesterday their accreditation cards at the IMC.
Ambassador Angelina Sta Catalina, deputy
director general of APEC National Organizing Committee Conference Management
Services (NOC-CMS), gave the first briefing to the media.
Sta. Catalina explained to the media the kinds
of APEC meetings taking place in Cebu City.
“There are 87 meetings in Cebu with already 1528
delegates,” Sta. Catalina said.
She said some of the meetings will be aired on
live feeds at the IMC.
Sta. Catalina enumerated the sources of APEC
information for the media, which include the Deputy Director General for
Strategic Messaging Abigail Valte, Deputy Director General for Media
Relations Assistant Secretary Virgilio Nadal, the APEC
Spokesperson, press briefings, scheduled interviews, press
