Endemic to Bohol as with the greater Mindanao Faunal Region, the tarsiers or tarsius syrichta have been believed to be anomalies of nature: a non-monkey non-human mammals but with straight spinal columns. Subsisting largely on insect diet, these wonder animals are nocturnal insectivores which are largely territorial slow reproducing and ultra sensitive mammals with three pairs of teats. Now placed under protection following a threatened to extinction categorization by the convention of international treaties on endangered species, tarsiers are placed in a natural forest environment in Corella and are shown to eco-tourists seeking to understand the complexities of life and the nature which sustains it. #Bohol #Corella #tarsier (PIA Bohol
