DTI NegOr to hand-over equipment to 3 coops

DUMAGUETE CITY, March 18 (PIA) --The Department of Trade and Industry here has set to launch and turn-over three Shared Service Facility (SSF) projects on March 25 and 26 in Bayawan City and the towns of Zamboanguita and Bacong.


DTI’s SSF will be handed-over for Rubber Sheet Processing Equipment to cooperator RUBBERCO at Integrated Business Center (IBC) in Bayawan City on March 25 at 1:00 p.m.
The tools include six units rubber sheet processing equipment, six units weighing scales, one unit baling machine, 150 units co-agulating plastic trays.

The ZASCOFAMCO, a cooperative from Zamboanguita town will obtain coco fiber processing equipment which include 100 units coco coir twining equipment, 50 units handheld weaving equipment, and four units handlooms at  Zamboanguita Gymnasium, on May 26 at 9:00 a.m.

The same project of ZASCOFAMCO, the Bacong Small Coconut Farmers Development Cooperative (BASCOFADCO)  will also receive coco fiber processing equipment with  200 units coco coir twining equipment, 40 units handheld weaving equipment, three units handlooms on May 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Barangay Combado, Bacong.

DTI provincial director Javier Fortunator Jr. said the primary objective of DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project is to provide specialized machinery and equipment to an industry in order to increase its productivity, improve its quality and at the same time lowering its processing costs.

 This SSF project also intends to generate more sales, jobs and employment opportunity for the industry, added Fortunato. (mbcn/JCT/PIA7-Negros Oriental)
