ChildFund Philippines needs personnel for Yolanda rehab program

CEBU CITY, April 2 (PIA) --- ChildFund Philippines is urgently calling for applicants from the Visayas area for a number of job vacancies in their organization under their Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) Emergency Response program.


Rowena Cuanico of ChildFund International said the vacant positions are for their program titled “Rebuilding Institutions and Safe Environments for Children in the Visayas in response to Super Typhoon Yolanda (RISE).”

She said they have received applications from Luzon and Mindanao but have yet to receive from the Visayas area. 

The vacant positions are Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, both of which are based in Roxas and involves regular travel throughout the Visayas region. 

All contract periods are for ten months and compensation packages are commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications. 

Interested applicants are urged to submit their letter of intent, resume, and contact information for three professional references to Rowena Cuanico through the email address: rcuanico@philippines.childfund.org. 

The heading of the email and the top of the letter of intent should indicate the position that the applicant is applying for, along with mobile phone number and email address. 

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews. 

Cuanico said all positions are for immediate employment. 

RISE is being implemented in coordination with Unicef across the East, Central, and Western Visayas areas. 

Its goal is to assist families and children affected by Yolanda in nine towns in Regions 6, 7, and 8 with an integrated response addressing their well-being, development, education, participation, and protection needs during the relief and early recovery stage. (RMN/PIA Cebu)
